Highlights
Azerbaijan made their Paralympic Games debut in 1996 in Atlanta, where they had just two athletes entered in athletics and powerlifting. Of the four Games in which they have participated, 2008 was their most successful when they won 10 medals. All-time, Azerbaijan have won 15 medals, all of which were in athletics, shooting and judo. Their gold medallists are judoka lham ZAKIYEV (2004, 2008), long jumper Oleg PANYTUIN (2004) and shot putter Olokhan MUSAYEV (2008).
