Austria have participated in every Paralympic Games since 1960 and the Winter Games were held in Innsbruck in 1984 and 1988. In 1976, the Austrian team had their most successful Games ever by winning 50 medals. They won just six medals, their worst ever return, in 2008, but still sit 15th on the all-time medal table.
