Armenia had only two entries on their debut at the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta - Gagik GASPARIAN in powerlifting and a four-person sailing team (mixed crewboat). No Armenian has ever won a Paralympic medal. Mher AVANESYAN competed at both summer (sailing in 2000) and Winter Paralympic Games (alpine skiing in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010).
