Highlights
Algeria have taken part in every edition of the Paralympic Games since debuting in 1992 in Barcelona. They have won 38 medals (15 gold, seven silver, 16 bronze).
Track and field athlete Mohamed ALLEK, a three-time Paralympian, won Algeria's first two gold medals, in 1996 in Atlanta, in the men's 100m and 200m. He captured another three gold medals in athletics in 2000, and a bronze in 2004.
