John Cavanagh has won Paralympic Archery medals at the last two Games.

In 2004 he took home the gold medal in the Individual W1, overcoming Sweden’s Anders Groenberg 108-102 in the final.

Four years later Cavanagh won silver in the Individual Compound W1 at Beijing 2008. Competing at the Olympic Green Archery Field, the 52-year-old was narrowly beaten in the final 108-103 by the Czech Republic’s David Drahoninsky.
