Jiri Jezek has won medals across both Cycling disciplines at each of the last three Paralympic Games.
At the age of 20 Jezek won his first two gold medals at the Sydney 2000 Games. These Track victories – coming in the Mixed 1km Time Trial LC2 and Mixed Individual Pursuit LC2 – were complemented by a silver on the Road in the Mixed Road Race LC2.
After Sydney, Jezek left his job as a prosthetic technician to become a professional cyclist. The decision paid off as he won gold in the Road Race Time Trial LC2 and silver in the 4km Individual Pursuit at the Athens 2004 Games.
Jezek captained the Czech National Paralympic team at Beijing 2008 and won another four medals, including golds in the Road Time Trial and Track Individual Pursuit.
