Yu Chui Yee is among the most successful Wheelchair Fencing athletes in the history of the Paralympic Games.
At the Athens 2004 Games she took home four gold medals. She overcame fellow countrywoman Pui Shan Fan in both the Individual Epee A and Individual Foil A events, before helping Hong Kong to overcome Hungary in the Team Epee A and Team Foil A.
Four years later the Team events did not feature on the programme, but Yu Chiu Lee still won medals in two Individual events. She beat China’s Zhang Chuncui in final of the Foil A competition, and claimed silver – this time losing out to Chuncui – in the Epee A.
