  • Olympic Village legacy vision unveiledPlans for new homes, schools, healthcare and community facilities for east London were welcomed by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) today as the legacy vision for the Olympic Village was unveiled by preferred developers Lend Lease during the start of public consultation in Stratford.

  • Work surges ahead on London 2012 Aquatics Centre siteWork is surging ahead on the site of the London 2012 Aquatics Centre following the handover of the Olympic Park this summer. The ODA said today that 90 per cent of the buildings on the site have been demolished, thousands of tonnes of contaminated soil has been cleaned, work is underway widening the waterways beside the site and a contractor has been appointed to remove railway sidings for a logistics centre.

  • London 2012 announces adidas as Tier One PartnerThe London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and adidas today announced that adidas has become the latest Tier One Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games – becoming Official Sportswear Partner. A host of international sports stars attended the central London launch including World sprint Champions Tyson Gay and Allyson Felix alongside legendary Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci, British sprint hopeful Craig Pickering, gold medal winning decathlete Daley Thompson, Paralympic hopeful Shelly Woods and BMX rider Shanaze Reid.
