The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) is seeking interest from the utility industry to deliver a range of utility services to support the development of the Olympic Park.
Service providers will deliver electricity, gas, water, sewerage and telecommunications services for the Park near Stratford, East London, to serve the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and also the communities that will live there after the Games.
The work to be undertaken is to design, construct, own and operate the utilities, and can be delivered by one company or a range of companies. Another key element to be tendered is the delivery of onsite energy requirements for the Games, including a combined heating and cooling plant (CCHP) and energy from renewable sources.
Companies who may be able to deliver these services can attend an industry open day which is being held on 28 September 2006.
The ODA will be going out to tender on the utilities contract by the end of 2006, with an appointment by autumn 2007.
