Slovenia judoka Urska Zolnir won gold in the women's -63kg with victory over China's Xu Lili at ExCeL.

Zolnir, who has won all of her four contests by Ippon, opened up with a bodydrop which scored a 10-point wazari to take command of the final.

The bronze medallist from the 2004 Athens Games was never really in danger and closed out for victory, despite being caught for a Yuko score on the buzzer.

Top seed Yoshie Ueno of Japan had to make do with a bronze medal, having lost in the quarter-finals against Joung Da-Woon, as she came through the repechage to beat Mongolia's Munkhzaya Tsedevsuren.

Reigning world and European champion Gevrise Emane of France also did not make the final, but claimed the other bronze after a judges' flag decision over Da-Woon following a tense contest.
