Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. The images projected onto the castle show the energy, determination, exaltation and exhaustion of rowers who have pushed themselves for the ultimate achievement.
The stunning projection will run over four nights, from Wednesday 1 to Saturday 4 August, between between 9.45pm and 11.59pm.
Seb Coe, Chair of the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) said: ‘Windsor Castle is a famous landmark and I’m delighted it’s providing a stunning backdrop to the Olympic Rowing competition and the world’s greatest athletes.'
Cllr Colin Rayner, Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, said: ‘The castle will be a superb focus for everyone in Windsor over the four evenings – residents and visitors alike – and we hope everyone will enjoy this stunning display.’
