The Serbians, who had lost all three of their opening matches, were rarely troubled and recorded a comfortable victory to send Republic of Korea out.

They led from the off, holding an 8-4 advantage midway through the first half, but that was brought back to two by the half-time break, with the score at 12-10.

There was to be no comeback from the Asian champions and Serbia were able to stretch their lead to five goals after 25 minutes of the second half.

That was extended to six by the end as Serbia closed it out without a problem, with Ivan Nikcevic and Alem Toskic both netting five for Serbia.

Jeong Han scored six for Republic of Korea, but it was in vain as they were left with an early exit, having lost all four of their games.
