Second gold for Agnel

Frenchman Yannick Agnel won the 200m Freestyle to claim his second Olympic Games title in 24 hours.

Yannick Agnel claimed gold in the 200m Freestyle on Day 3 of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Agnel, just 20, anchored the French sprint Freestyle Relay squad to victory over the USA last night when he overhauled Ryan Lochte in the final 10m.

Tonight he led from the start and enjoyed a dominant victory in 1:43.14, with Beijing silver medallist Park Tae Hwan and 400m Freestyle champion Sun Yang sharing silver while world champion Lochte was locked out of the medals in fourth.

Meanwhile, USA teenager Missy Franklin claimed the 100m Backstroke title with an impressive display.

Franklin clocked a winning time of 58.33, with Australia's Emily Seebohm (58.68) second and Aya Terakawa of Japan (58.83) third.
