Russian leading after first stage of Shooting event

Alexei Klimov of Russia leads the way after stage one of the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol qualifying at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

The London 2012 Olympic Shooting competition will be held at the Royal Artillery Barracks in south-east London.

The 36-year-old world record holder fired a score of 294 out of 300 shots fired.

He leads by one from Cuba's Leuris Pupo, Ding Feng and Zhang Jian of China.

They are followed in the standings by Czech Martin Podhrasky and Vijay Kumar of India.

The second stage of qualifying takes place tomorrow morning with the final in the afternoon.
