Victory Ceremonies take place shortly after a medal event finishes and will be an exciting celebration of the achievements of the 4,400 medal-winning athletes at the Games.
Unique royal purple podiums have been created by students from the Royal College of Art in London, complemented by royal purple uniforms for the volunteer athlete and presenter escorts and flower and medal bearers.
The students used dynamic lines on the podiums to represent the energy of the Games and the athletes. The costumes were inspired by London and it’s architecture, British heritage, as well as Greek mythology.
The flower bouquets were designed by Jane Packer, an internationally renowned UK florist, and represent the vibrancy of the Games. They include the iconic British flower, the rose, and a selection of traditional herbs which together create an unusual fragrant mix.
The unique makeup look worn by the Games Makers, created by award winning make-up artist Caroline Barnes and provided by Max Factor, includes shades of purple and gold.
