The compilation, named 'Isles of Wonder', is number one in two online download charts in the UK, France, Belgium and Spain, and it reached number five in the US.

At Friday night's spectacular show at the Olympic Stadium the audience was treated to the sounds of British music from the 1960s, '70s, '90s and today. The album reflects the Opening Ceremony with tracks from Dizzee Rascal, Emeli Sande, Underworld, David Bowie and The Chemical Brothers.

After being on sale for just 24 hours the album reached number five of the Official Charts Company's list of top-selling compilation albums of 2012.
