Table Tennis draw takes place
Table Tennis athletes from across the world have found out who they will face in the early rounds of the London 2012 competition.

Elsewhere, hot favourites China will face Russia in the first round, with the competition a straight knock-out format. In the women's Team event, China will face Spain first, while second-seeded Japan will take on the USA.

In the men's Singles Turkey's Bora Vang is likely to face the Chinese favourite, Zhang Jike. Women's Singles favourite Ding Ning, also of China, is set to face Daniela Dodean of Romania.

Host Nation Great Britain has entrants in the men's and women's Singles events and the Team competition.

Paul Drinkhall will play either Ibrahem Al-Hasan of Kuwait or Congo's Saheed Idowu – who will battle it out in the preliminary round.

Joanna Parker plays either Brazilian Caroline Kumahara or Djibouti's Yasmin Hassan Farah.

Women's head coach Alan Cooke said: 'We have no complaints. The draw is pretty good for both Paul and Joanna.'

The competition is being held at ExCeL, with the Singles events starting on July 28.
