ODA wins award from MPs

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has received a special award from MPs serving on the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee for ‘outstanding service delivery and value for money’.

The trophy was presented to Ralph Luck, ODA’s Director of Property, at the 2012 Civil Service Awards by the committee’s chair, Margaret Hodge MP, and Conservative member Richard Bacon. The Committee made its decision based on the reports it published during the past year. Although it said there were an encouraging number of contenders for the award, the Committee’s final decision was unanimous.

Margaret Hodge said: ‘The ODA did a fantastic job in delivering the Olympic venues and infrastructure on time and within budget. They did our nation proud.’

ODA Chairman Sir John Armitt said: ‘This is a fantastic tribute by MPs who are always, and quite rightly, fiercely protective of taxpayers’ money and determined that it should be spent well, transparently and accountably. Everyone in the ODA, as well as in our Delivery Partner CLM, should be enormously proud of the record of achievement that led the Committee to make this award.’
