The 18-year-old Robson has spent the last three days as first alternate since Doubles partner Heather Watson replaced Alona Bondarenko on Tuesday, but Martic was known to be struggling and has now pulled out of the event.
The world number 96 slots into the draw in the bottom half and will play Czech Lucie Safarova in the first round on Sunday.
