Each ticket features the sport pictogram and the colour scheme reflects that of the venue, to help spectators find their destination later this summer.
There is a hologram, barcode and name of booker on every ticket, along with several other safety features to reduce counterfeiting.
Ticket holders will also receive a Games Travelcard and spectator guide with their tickets.
London 2012 Organising Committee Chief Executive Paul Deighton, said: 'With the Olympic Flame now making its journey towards the Olympic Stadium and with less than 100 days to go before the Paralympics, I can’t remember a more exciting week on the road to London 2012.
'It is important now that people keep their tickets in a safe place ready for Games time and also to be wary of websites and organisations claiming to have Games tickets to sell.’
Tickets for the Paralympic Games are now on general sale from the London 2012 ticketing website. Remaining Olympic Games tickets go on sale on Wednesday 23 May.
