The women’s competition gets underway with reigning Olympic champions Norway taking on France in a repeat of 2011 World Championships final. Great Britain’s women will also play on 28 July – the first day of the competition – taking on fellow Olympic newcomers Montenegro.
In the men’s competition, current Olympic champions France start their tournament with a match against Great Britain on 29 July. Serbia will take on Croatia on 31 July in a repeat of the Euro 2012 Championship match.
The announcement comes after the draw was held last month to confirm the groups for the preliminary stage of the event, which takes place at the Copper Box before the action moves to the Basketball Arena.
'Brilliant matches'

'We are proud to welcome the world of handball in London – and we are sure that we will see thrilling, brilliant matches with the best players of the world.'
Following 10 days of preliminary competition, the knockout matches will start on 7 August. The women's medals will be awarded on 11 August, followed by the men's the next day.
