Latvia maintain winning ways

Latvia's Martins Plavins and Janis Smedins made it three wins from three in the men's preliminary Beach Volleyball with a 2-0 victory at Horse Guards Parade to finish top of Pool E.

The Latvian duo defeated the Netherland's Reinder Nummerdor and Rich Schuil 21-14 21-18 to maintain their impressive form so far in London.

Defeat for the Netherlands leaves them second in the pool but their place in the knockout stage was already assured following victories over Germany and Venezuela.
