The Olympic Flame travels 60.25 miles through 12 communities on Friday before current Strictly Come Dancing champions Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani light a celebration cauldron in the evening.
The first Torchbearer of the day will be Michael Liptrot, from Kendal, who starts with the Flame at Kendal Castle. Michael was nominated for his work at Kendal Judo Club ensuring that others can reach their potential.
Mid-morning, the Torch Relay continues to the Eric Morecambe Statue in Morecambe, before the Flame travels on the Blackpool tramway in the afternoon. Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani will carry the Flame into the ballroom of the Blackpool Tower – the location of their Strictly Come Dancing victory in December last year – after it has travelled in a lantern to the top of the Tower.
The Relay will travel through the following communities on Friday: Kendal, Milnthorpe, Carnforth, Bolton-le-Sands, Hest Bank, Morecambe, Lancaster, Garstang, St Michael’s on Wyre, Fleetwood, Cleveleys and Blackpool.
