The first Torchbearer of the day, Alan Ellison, will get the Relay off to a dramatic start by abseiling down the Dock Tower at Grimsby Docks. Alan was nominated to carry the Torch for his extensive fundraising for local charities over the last 15 years.
The Flame will then travel 111.99 miles through 19 communities before reaching the evening celebration at Yarborough Leisure Centre in Lincoln.
Starr Halley, who was nominated for her courageous battle with a severe brain tumour, will carry the Flame on Skegness Beach. Having endured major surgery and intense chemotherapy she is now able to walk again.
Throughout the day a number of aircraft are set to take part in fly bys as the Torch travels through the region: An RAF Typhoon will fly by Skegness, an E3-D in Bracebridge Heath and finally the Red Arrows will fly over during the Lincoln Evening Celebration.
The Relay will travel through the following communities: Grimsby, Louth, Legbourne, Withern, Maltby Le Marsh, Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe, Sutton on Sea, Mumby, Hogsthorpe, Ingoldmells, Winthorpe, Skegness, Wainfleet All Saints, Wrangle, Boston, Sleaford, Bracebridge Heath and Lincoln.
