The first Torchbearer of the day will be Leanne Harper, 26, from the Isle of Man, who was nominated through the LOCOG public nomination campaign for her strength in battling Cystic Fibrosis and her efforts in raising money for research by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Leanne will do a lap of the athletics track with the Flame the National Sports Centre in Douglas, before handing over to Victoria Karran, 36, also from Isle of Man.
Other Torchbearers today will include three-time World Enduro Champion, David Knight, 34, and top British snowboarder Zoe Gillings, 26, from the Isle of Man. Zoe will be carrying the Flame in Castletown.
Over the course of the day, the Flame will travel by various modes of transport, including in the sidecar of a TT motorbike, on a horse tram and on the Manx Electric Railway.
Following its visit to the Isle of Man, the Flame will be flown by British Airways to Belfast on ‘The Firefly’, where there will be a ceremony to welcome it to Northern Ireland.
