The new Construction Crew members meet at the Olympic ParkThe success of the Construction Crew project was highlighted last week when it won the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) ‘Experiential Campaign’ Clarion Award, for demonstrating best practice in ethical and inclusive communications.
ODA Chairman John Armitt said: ‘The project has proved an incredibly effective way for local schools to get involved with the building phase of the London 2012 Games and we are all delighted with its success. We are confident our latest Crew will find it just as rewarding and beneficial as last year’s members.
‘It’s also tremendously rewarding to see the project externally recognised through an IVCA award, which is a great credit to the Construction Crew and everyone else connected with the project.’
The Crew recently completed a two-day introductory workshop which included a trip around the Park, plus a look at the project’s first theme – the site’s history and archaeology.
