Station progress gathers momentum as new hoardings unveiled

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) is funding a £100m project to treble the station’s capacity and increase accessibility. The improvements come as hundreds of thousands of spectators are expected to use Stratford Regional Station during the Games in 2012.

The transformation includes nine new lifts, new platforms, wider, longer and clearer platforms, and a new entrance at mezzanine level.

The enhanced station will leave improved transport links for east London long after the Games have finished in 2012.

The new hoardings also show commuters and residents what the station will look like in 2010 when the work is completed – two years ahead of the Games.
