World Conference on Sport and the Environment underway

Organised jointly by the International Organising Committee and the Vancouver 2012 Organising Committee, the conference brings together representatives of the world of sport, industry, sponsors, the United Nations and Non-Governmental Organisations.

Participants are focusing on the theme 'Innovation and Inspiration - Harnessing the Power of Sport for Change'. The conference recognises the power of the sports movent to inspire people to try to create a more sustainable world.   

Speakers include special guest Prince Albert II of Monaco. David Stubbs, Head of Sustainability at the London 2012 Organising Committee is also presenting, outlining the measures being taken to ensure a truly sustainable Games in 2012.
