The Transport Plan was published today, alongside 'on track', which outlines the transport milestones already achievedThe plan outlines how the 500,000 spectators, 50,000 athletes, officials and media will all get to and from the Olympic Park and other venues each day during the Games.
This first full edition of the Transport Plan was published following extensive consultation across the transport industry on the draft version, which was published in October 2006.
Alongside the Transport Plan, the ODA today also published ‘on track’, which features an update on progress. Work to treble capacity at Stratford Regional Station is underway; the tunnels needed to extend the Docklands Light Railway have broken through; and the first new trains to be used on the Javelin shuttle service in 2012 have arrived in the UK and the high speed rail link they will travel on – HS1 – is ready.
