Sold-out Christmas gift favourites include London 2012 teddy bears from UK manufacturer Merrythought, and official Olympic and Paralympic art posters.
London 2012 Christmas baubles are also selling fast, while the London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville have become two of the best-selling characters this festive season.
Simon Lilley, Head of Retail and Licensing at the London 2012 Organising Committee, said, 'As it is the final Christmas before the Games, we've seen a sudden rush from collectors and Games enthusiasts alike who see this as a great opportunity to get a piece of collectable memorabilia and show support for the Games.'
Beyond Christmas gift shopping, unprecedented Olympic and Paralympic ticket sales have driven demand for merchandise. For example, tickets released this month for Football fixtures next summer have helped deliver strong sales for the Team GB supporter shirt. In total, the online shop has recorded a 400% sales increase since the one year to go celebrations in July.
