Ellie Simmonds will be among the athletes going for gold at the Paralympic Games next summer.There is good availability for the majority of sports, including Athletics, Wheelchair Basketball and Swimming, as well as for ExCeL and Olympic Park day passes.
Tickets are still available on every day of the Games, including for medal sessions in a number of sports.
LOCOG Chief Executive Paul Deighton said: ‘The Paralympic
Games are coming home next year and will undoubtedly be a time of extraordinary
pride for our nation. I’m sure many will see these tickets as the perfect
Christmas gift.’
Unprecedented demand
Following unprecedented interest a year out from the London
2012 Paralympic Games, 800,000 tickets were allocated to more than 100,000 people through
September’s initial public application phase
Including sales to international visitors and other client
groups such as sponsors, over one million tickets have now been sold for the Paralympic Games.
Sir Philip Craven, President of the International Paralympic
Committee, said: ‘To have sold over one million tickets worldwide for next
year’s Paralympic Games is unprecedented and underlines the growing appeal of
Paralympic sport.
'My message is simple: buy your tickets now, as I can
promise you that you will witness something pretty special next year.’
