London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville joined LOCOG Head of Licensing and Retail Simon Lilley and Retail Director at Heathrow Muriel Zingraff to cut the ceremonial ribbon.The ninth London 2012 shop is situated in the heart of Heathrow’s Terminal 3 and is the second to open in the airport, joining the existing shop in Terminal 5.
With approximately 20.4 million passengers travelling on flights each year through Terminal 3, the shop it is set to give visitors the opportunity to own a piece of the London 2012 Games as they pass through one of London’s busiest terminals.
LOCOG Head of Licensing and Retail Simon Lilley commented: 'The London 2012 Shop at Heathrow Terminal 3 offers a great opportunity for international and European travellers to get involved in the excitement of the London 2012 Games.
'With a diverse range of products on offer, travellers can take home their own piece of the historic London 2012 Games.'
The wide selection of products available include adidas clothing, homeware items, mascot toys and official Games collectable items.

In addition to the London 2012 shops across the capital, a dedicated Team GB and ParalympicsGB shop opened in Westfield Stratford City this September, while the online shop is continuing to prove popular.
Merchandise for London 2012 is expected to raise over £80 million towards the cost of funding the Games.
