Planning go ahead for new healthcare facilities

The Village, adjacent to the Olympic Park, will leave 2,818 new homes for Londoners after the Games, of which around half will be affordable. There will also be new areas of parkland.

The Polyclinic will be at the heart of the new facilities being built and will provide healthcare for existing local communities and the new residents that will live in the Village after 2012. The facilities will include multiple GP surgeries, outpatient and physiotherapy services, a children’s clinic and diagnostic facilities including X-ray and ultrasound.

The facilities will be used during the Games to meet the healthcare needs of the athletes.
