Jumpers Rebound Centre and a new gymnastics centre at Medway Park will play host to training camps by the Portuguese Trampoline and Sports Acrobatics Federation (PTSAF) in the lead up to the Games.
The deal was signed by PTSAF technical director Rui Vinagre, who has been bringing Portuguese squads to the internationally-renowned trampolining facility for a number of years.
Martin Laws, who will be running the Medway Park gymnastics centre, said: “I am excited at the prospect of having Olympic training at Medway and it makes sense to have our friends from Portugal as the first to commit to train here. We are looking forward to a thrilling event.”
Medway Council has already signed an agreement with the Paralympic Association of Barbados to train at Medway Park ahead of the Games.
