Leading competitors in sports including swimming, gymnastics and cycling will take part in at least one training camp in Leeds and Sheffield every year.
And the country’s junior athletes will also make a trip to Leeds to prepare for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
The camps will give top local sports clubs and coaches the chance to share expertise with the visiting Olympians.
Kate Auld of Yorkshire Gold, the region’s committee for the Games, said: 'Yorkshire’s already starting to attract major international interest in our world class training facilities for the London 2012 Games – and we’re still three years away.
'Hosting Pre-Games Training Camps will give people the chance to get involved with events happening on their doorstep; whether its watching Olympic hopefuls in training or local businesses securing contracts to take care of the teams when they arrive.'
