New top sponsorship categories announced

A new ‘5C’ sponsorship model for businesses was also launched, outlining how sponsoring the Games will bring benefits to a company, its customers and colleagues, communities and the country.

The announcements came in a keynote speech by London 2012 Organising Committee Commercial Director Chris Townsend at a conference in London addressing the benefits of sponsoring the Games.

Townsend said: "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our UK partner companies to secure a range of company-wide business benefits that can fast track the transformation of an organisation or achieve core business goals like never before in the UK."
