The Olympic Lottery Distributor, responsible for granting money to London 2012 projects, now expects to reach £118m by the end of March, up from the £110m originally predicted.

They aim to raise a total of £750m to help deliver the 2012 Games, from special National Lottery draw and scratchcards, including the newly launched 'Lucky Dog' card pictured above.

The Chair of the Olympic Lottery Distributor, Janet Paraskeva, said: "There is a long way to go, but reaching £100m by the end of January the National Lottery is ahead of schedule in delivering funds to support London 2012.

"We are funding the Olympic Delivery Authority to create the facilities necessary for the Games and we are very impressed with the progress they are making."
