400m bronze medallist Rhys Williams400m Hurdler Rhys Williams, 22, seemed destined for fifth but came through very strongly to take third by just 0.01 second.
Sheffield's rising star Becky Lyne ran a strong 800m to win bronze behind Russians Olga Kotlyarova and Svetlana Klyuka.
Marlon Devonish won the 200m bronze, behind Portugal's Francis Obikwelu, who completed an excellent Sprint double.
In the Paralympic competition, Shelly Woods won Silver in the 800m Wheelchair race.
The Championships continue over the weekend, closing on Sunday evening.
