ODA announces Procurement Policy

Speaking at the 2012 Business Summit in Leeds as part of the 2012 Roadshow, ODA Chief Executive David Higgins said the policy will ensure the ODA can deliver new venues and infrastructure on time and to budget.

Higgins said: "The ODA will need to procure and manage the delivery of goods and services in a way that enables it to deliver in a cost effective way, to benefit from the innovation and creativity of its suppliers, and to help realise the aspirations and commitments set out in London's bid and Olympic vision.

"We also need to ensure we procure in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.

"I believe our Procurement Policy will help us deliver an exceptional Games and legacy."

Developed together with the major London 2012 stakeholders, the policy is open to public consultation until the autumn.
