IPC Chief Executive Xavier GonzalezOn a two-day trip to London, he met with London organising committee Chief Executive Paul Deighton and Olympic Delivery Authority Chief Executive David Higgins.
He welcomed last week's announcement regarding the new masterplan for the Olympic Park, bringing both Paralympic Tennis and Archery within the Park.
He also held a series of working meetings with London 2012 staff to discuss key issues including access in venues and facilities, transport, marketing, sponsorship and the development of the brand for the Paralympic Games.
Gonzalez said: "This has been a very productive and very positive visit.
"It is a unique opportunity for the IPC to be working with the Games organisers from such an early stage and to be in a position to address problems that have been encountered in previous Games.
"London is clearly taking the issue of staging a successful Paralympic Games seriously and we are in a very good position in terms of strategic thinking and planning.
"This is important for the Games themselves and also the legacy left for London, which will last long after 2012."
