London 2012's new HR Director, Jean TomlinLondon 2012 currently has a staff of approximately 80 people which will increase to 3,000 in the run-up to 2012.
Her role will be build this team into a world class organisation, keeping the spirit of the winning bid team.
The new HR Director said: "This is a thrilling appointment for me. London 2012 is the most exciting project around and I look forward to putting in place a world class team to deliver a spectacular London Games."
Ms Tomlin is currently an advisor to the BBC and was formerly Group HR Director at Marks & Spencers, a founding member and HR Director of Egg plc, and worked for 14 years at the Prudential.
"This is a crucial position within the London 2012 team," said London 2012 Chief Executive Paul Deighton. "We need to attract and retain the best people to deliver the best Games ever, and Jean will make that happen."
Jean takes over the position in August from Vivienne Jarvis who returns to her executive coaching consultancy.
