London 2012 Ambassador and Paralympic medal record holder Tanni Grey-Thompson has announced that she will be competing at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester next year.
Earlier this year she achieved double-gold success at the inaugural event by winning the 100m & 400m (T53).
Grey-Thompson is delighted to again be involved in the Visa Paralympic World Cup. She said:
"The Visa Paralympic World Cup is developing into the focal point for elite disability multi-sport competition on an annual basis.
"The first year was a tremendous success and the event is only going to get stronger year-on-year as we build towards the Paralympic Games in Britain in 2012."
The 2006 Paralympic World Cup will be staged over seven days between 1-7 May and will feature four sports: Athletics, Cycling (Track), Swimming and Wheelchair Basketball.
This year's event, the first of it kind, received praise for the calibre of its organisation and the outstanding performances of many athletes.
Over 330 competitors from 44 countries competed in the event.
