London 2012 Chief Executive Keith Mills has spoken of keen commercial interest in sponsoring the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
At the second day of the IOC-LOCOG Orientation Seminar in London, Mills emphasised his confidence that that British companies would be excited by the opportunity to participate as domestic sponsors of the 2012 Games.
"After the excitement of 6 July, we have already had strong interest from businesses in getting involved in this exciting and unique opportunity," he said.
"We plan to outline our sponsorship strategy in the first half of next year.
"This will enable companies to understand the categories of sponsorship that are available and the tremendous and unique marketing opportunities that come from combining the worlds most powerful brand with one the world's most iconic cities."
Details of the key revenue sources for 2012 Games Organisers were also outlined.
These include revenues from IOC administered broadcasting rights and the Worldwide Olympic Partners (TOP) programmes, while London organisers are required to maximise revenues to stage the Games from ticket sales, licensing (including merchandise, coins and stamps) and domestic sponsorship and supplier programmes.
Also at the seminar, IOC Executive Director for the Olympic Games Gilbert Felli revealed a master schedule - a timeline of activities needed to deliver the Games on time.
