A new programme has been launched by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) to give local schoolchildren the chance to experience the work going on inside the Olympic Park.
Twenty year-six students from eight schools across the Host Boroughs have been nominated by their schools to take part in the ‘Construction Crew’, which started last week with a two-day workshop.
The schoolchildren visited the Olympic Park to see the progress being made first-hand. They also had their first workshop, focusing on sustainability and the environment, which are aimed at promoting leadership, responsibility and presentation skills.
The students will be encouraged to take these new skills and knowledge of the London 2012 project back to their schools and present the information to their peers.
