If you live around the Olympic Park, you have the chance to attend consultation events where you can give feedback on venue designs.
The events are an opportunity to view plans for two of the major London 2012 venues – the VeloPark and Handball Arena.
During the Games the VeloPark will include a 6,000-seat Velodrome and a BMX circuit with 6,000 temporary seats. After 2012, a one-mile road cycle circuit and various mountain bike courses will be added. It will be available for the local and regional community, local clubs, elite athletes and for cycling events.
The Handball Arena will host the Preliminaries and Quarter-Finals of the Handball competition, as well as Modern Pentathlon disciplines during the Olympic Games. During the Paralympic Games it will host Goalball.
ODA Chief Executive David Higgins said: ‘We’ve worked closely with sports groups and the Host Boroughs to design venues that work well for Games-time and post 2012, and are looking forward to receiving further feedback from the local residents that will utilise the venues for generations to come.’
