Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) Chairman John Armitt, today encouraged Scottish businesses to bid for contracts on the Olympic Park.
Speaking at the Constructing Excellence event in Perth, John Armitt said: ‘London 2012 is much more than a fantastic festival of sport. It is a great opportunity for Scottish business that can deliver real short and long term benefits. We want to help companies in Scotland make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead.’
An estimated 75,000 business opportunities are expected to be available from the London 2012 project, worth around £6bn.
Currently two-thirds of the companies that have won ODA contracts are small and medium sized, five contracts have been awarded to businesses based in Scotland.
