The team that will design the Handball Arena for the London 2012 Games has been announced.
During the Olympic Games the arena will host the Handball competition. In the Paralympic Games it will be used for Goalball.
After the Games the Arena will become an indoor sports centre. The seating capacity will be flexible, allowing the Arena to be used for different sporting activities ranging from community use sport to international-level competition.
The winning design team is Make Architects with PTW and Ove Arup and Partners.
