More than 500 schools have signed up for the 2012 design competition but there is still time for schools to enter.
The competition encourages pupils aged 5-16 to submit designs for an imaginary VeloPark. The designs could be illustrations, paintings, drawings, photos, computer images, presentations or even films. The closing date for pupils to design their dream
Cycling venues of the future is 30 November 2007.
A winning primary and secondary school from each region will be selected for a competition final early next year, when a primary and secondary school will be announced as UK winners.
The prize for the two winning schools will include the opportunity to work with the 2012 VeloPark designers and learn at first-hand how to create a world-class sports venue.
The Cycling venues on the Olympic Park site will host Track and BMX events during the Games. After the Games a Road Cycle circuit and Mountain Biking facilities will be added to create a VeloPark for community and elite use.
