A huge number of businesses are interested in helping to deliver the venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Games, figures released today suggest.
Around 800 company representatives have attended the ‘Constructing Excellence’ roadshow, which is touring the UK to give businesses the chance to find out more about London 2012 opportunities.
The roadshow has already visited Newcastle, Belfast, Melton Mowbray, Bristol and Gatwick. Over the next three months it will visit Scotland, Manchester, Leeds, Wales, Birmingham and London.
In addition to the roadshow, over 1,700 businesses have also attended Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) industry days where they can learn more about individual projects and the procurement process.
Over 15,000 businesses have registered for email alerts when a London 2012 contract is issued.
