Olympic Games sponsor VISA have launched their 'Olympics of the Imagination' art competition today.
Young people aged 10 to 14 are being encouraged to send in artwork based around the theme ‘One Planet, One Dream’.
Members of Team VISA champion gymnast Beth Tweddle and runner Mo Farah also attended the launch in 2012 Host Borough Newham, along with 2012 hopefuls diver Tom Daley and Paralympic Equestrian competitor Natasha Baker.
Beth Tweddle said: ‘Encouraging kids to be artistic and free-thinking is really important. As a gymnast I have to be imaginative and creative in the way I perform, so there’s a really strong link between sport and the arts, and the Olympics can be a catalyst for bringing all of those positive influences together.’
